Her keynote presentation INSPIRE: The Power of Business Storytelling to communicate and influence is a high impact and entertaining presentation that will explore the evolving role of communication and leadership within the workplace. It will motivate and inspire individuals to embrace the art of business storytelling as Gabrielle will demonstrate how sharing authentic and purposeful stories can be used to engage, inspire and connect with your colleagues.

The keynote will be followed by a one-hour workshop to build skills in finding and constructing stories.
Gabrielle has worked with thousands of high-profile leaders from around the world, helping them to become better leaders and communicators using the art of business storytelling. Online reputation is a major new threat for brands and business. In fact, cyber and IT-driven risks are thought to be the most likely 'incidents' organizations will experience. They also have huge potential repercussions for government, private and institutional brands alike. The PR damage and long-term career consequences for communicators are seismic. Yet the process and protocols for handling communications in an online crisis are still immature. This interactive session sees you engage in a real-time crisis, so get ready to test your skills in this unique, choreographed session! The scenario will be developed using the Drill's comprehensive online crisis simulation system.
This trans-media portal uses a host of media assets - from online news, to radio, to TV, and even social media comments – to animate the crisis. Putting delegates in the hot seat during a PR disaster, participants will need to make decisions under pressure, create relevant and appropriate content, and understand the skills needed to handle an online crises. Run by Gerry McCusker, an IABC 'All-Star Speaker' based in Australia, and the Drill's AsiaPac adviser, George Noon, the session sees delegates pit their wits against a surprising set of challenges. From internal comms and regulatory relations to consumer communications and social media snipers, participants will need to tread carefully, think wisely and act incisively

The inaugural Regional Conference from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Asia Pacific, Fusion 2017, will feature respected academic and author Professor Jim Macnamara. Professor Macnamara will present to delegates an exclusive preview of findings from a global study covering the status and direction of evaluation of public communication as applied in advertising, public relations, and corporate, government, and organisational communication. The latest developments in evaluation of public communication include new models and emerging standards for best practice.
Professor Jim Macnamara took up the role of Professor of Public Communication at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2007 after a distinguished 30-year career in professional communication practice spanning journalism, public relations, and media research, including being the founder and CEO of the leading media analysis firm, CARMA International (Asia Pacific) from 1995–2006. He is the author of 16 books including Evaluating Public Communication: Exploring New Models, Standards, and Best Practice to be released by Routledge UK next month.
